Unexpected renaming: DCF → “...with Dyneema®”
While we were updating the names, Talung has already made it to Denali.
What is changing
We are updating the names of our backpacks that were previously labeled as DCF (Dyneema Composite Fabric). From now on, they will be released under a new format:
“[Model Name] with Dyneema®”

Why we are changing the naming approach
The reason is quite simple: a large number of UHMWPE materials have appeared on the market and are being incorrectly or improperly positioned as Dyneema®.
As a result, the term “DCF” has been widely used on platforms such as Alibaba, AliExpress, and Temu for materials that are not always genuine Dyneema®.
Because of this, Avient — the owner of the Dyneema® trademark and our official partner — is updating its branding guidelines and requirements for the use of the name.
We are aligning with this policy and bringing our product naming in line with the official brand guidelines.
Why the material is included in the product name
We are developing backpack series where the name reflects not only the concept but also the volume and configuration.
For example, the Guide series includes 7 models. Adding the material to the name makes it immediately clear:
- what the product is made of
- how it differs from other versions
- which exact technical configuration the specific model has
A small highlight
While we were finalizing the correct naming according to the brand guidelines, two Talung with Dyneema® 45–60L backpacks have already made it to Denali. Another one is currently being prepared for the same route.
